I have had this disc for years and continue to enjoy its breathtaking musicianship with every listen. In particular, the song "Kucano Oro" stands out. The harmonica playing in the Macedonian modality is incomparably masterful, with lightning fast arpeggios, bends and overblows seamlessly woven into an evolving tapestry of musical drama that pulls you in. The musical tension created here is beautifully resolved. One feels in the end to have been transported to a strange and wild place...The Old Country indeed!
