The catalyst for this recording was Dusan Bogdanovic's "Keys to Talk By" on which percussionist Mark Nauseef performed and first experienced the sonic warmth of the Harmony Hall in Matsumoto, Japan. On this solo percussion recording, Mark "excites" the space with numerous percussion instruments, including the very low pitched "Chime Bars" designed by enigmatic composer and pedagogue, Carl Orff and exotic wind gongs from China. Some of the most melodious, yet dynamic percussion music you'll (more than likely) ever hear; an audiophile favorite.
